College Football Pick Of The Day – Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech – Who Covers The Spread

Who covers the spread in today’s game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders?  Why not let FiveStarPick.com help you with the answer today?  Aren’t you tired of getting cold called by services that tell you about their 750,000 star play that’s a guaranteed winner?  Here is a bit of advice…NOTHING is guaranteed when you are betting on sports!  These so called “handicappers” call 500 people on a Saturday morning and give them all a free play; 250 people will get Texas Tech -3 and 250 will get Oklahoma State +3.  After the game ends, they call back the 250 people who won and pitch them on charging thousands of dollars to their credit cards for more guaranteed winners.  FiveStarPick.com is not your typical sports handicapping service.  We care about our members and we live and die on every play. Why?  Because we are moving thousands of dollars of our own money on the same plays we give you. Gambling on sports is how we make our living.  Do we win every play?  Absolutely not and we will never pretend to.  Our plays are always posted for the world to see, including our losing streaks. But by the end of the year we always seem to have a few hundred thousand dollars of the sportsbook’s money in our casino account.  Let us try and do the same for you.  Read below for our breakdown of the OSU/Texas Tech showdown.

With so much parity in college football these days, it’s very hard for a school to maintain a #1 ranking for very long.  Texas Tech (9-0 Straight Up, 4-3 Against The Spread) proved our theory last Saturday night as they beat the #1 ranked Longhorns, 39-33, as 4-point underdogs.  Texas Tech’s defense dominated the first half allowing just 20 yards in Texas’ first five possessions.  Texas QB Colt McCoy was sacked 4 times for a loss of 17 yards; the Texas quarterback had only been sacked four times total in his collegiate career.  The offense behind Heisman candidates Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree is dazzling.  Harrell completed 36 of 53 passes for 474 yards and 2 TDs. The last of those scores was hauled in by Crabtree with just one second remaining on the clock.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-1 SU, 8-0 ATS) have shown their strength in an unusual place…their offensive line isn’t huge, averaging 277 pounds per player, but the athletic OL has allowed just 10 sacks all season and their offense is averaging 512.0 yards per game in 2008.  Cowboy QB Zac Robinson is using his OL effectively and making smart decisions. Robinson has the  #2 passer efficiency rating in the nation at 192.5 and last week he connected on 18 of 27 passes for 395 yards and 5 TDs.
