College Football Pick Of The Day – Miami Ohio @ Buffalo – Who Covers The Spread

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

FiveStarPick.com will be giving its members the winner of tonight’s Tuesday night MAC game between the Buffalo Bulls and the Miami Ohio Redhawks.  Las Vegas sportsbooks have listed the Bulls as 8.5-point home favorites with the total set at 51.

Buffalo (4-4 straight up, 5-3 against the spread) is coming off a 32-19 win at Ohio last Tuesday as a 1.5-point dog.  RB James Starks rushed for 186 yards and 2 TDs to pace the Bulls including a 52 yard TD in the 4th quarter.  Starks has 700 yards and six touchdowns for the season and is averaging 5.0 yards per carry. Bulls QB Drew Willy is off to a great start this year with a 15/4 TD-INT ratio.

Miami (2-6 SU, 3-4 ATS) got shelled last week by Kent St. 54-21 as a 4-point home favorite. The Redhawks were up 7-3 at the end of the first quarter, but Kent St. scored 44 unanswered to come away with the lopsided victory.

Buffalo has never beaten Miami, but has cashed as dogs the last two years.  Miami won last year, 31-28, but Buffalo covered the number as 6.5-point road dogs.

Turner Gill is in his third season as Buffalo’s starting signal caller. He left Nebraska 3 years ago because he wasn’t getting enough playing time.  So far he is 3-3-1 against the spread as a home favorite, but only 1-3 ATS as a home favorite this season.  Miami is 10-7 ATS as road dogs over the last four years. This season they have compiled a 3-1 ATS record as a road dog.

So who covers the spread in today’s game?  Why not let FiveStarPick.com help you with the answer?  Aren’t you tired of getting cold called by services that tell you about their 750,000 star play that’s a guaranteed winner?  Here is a bit of advice…NOTHING is guaranteed when you are betting on sports!  These so called “handicappers” call 500 people on a Saturday morning and give them all a free play; 250 people will get Miami +8.5 and 250 will get Buffalo -8.5.  After the game ends, they call back the 250 people who won and pitch them on charging thousands of dollars to their credit cards for more guaranteed winners.   We are not your typical sports handicapping service.  We care about our members and we live and die on every play. Why?  Because we are moving thousands of dollars of our own money on the same plays we give you. Gambling on sports is how we make our living.  Do we win every play?  Absolutely not and we will never pretend to.  Our plays are always posted for all to see, including our losing streaks. But by the end of the year we always seem to have a few hundred thousand dollars of the sportsbook’s money in our casino account.  Let us try and do the same for you.  Join our family of winners today and start your winning streak tonight.
