As Johnny Gill says, “It’s Friday night and I just got paid” and FiveStarPick.com is looking to get all of its members paid tonight.  Baylor (2-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) is listed as a 12 point dog against UConn tonight and money line bettors should find the line at +380 (risk $100 to win $380.)  UConn (3-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) will try to keep its perfect season together as a -480 home money line favorite (risk $480 to win $100.)

After getting stomped by Wake Forest in their home opener as a 12-point dog, Baylor has won back-to-back games against Northwestern St. (51-6) and Washington St. (45-17) as a 6-point home favorite. Their last two wins had a lot to do with true freshman quarterback Robert Griffin. Griffin was a 4-star recruit from Copperas Cove, TX., has been given the nod as the future of Baylor Bear football.

In Griffin’s second start last week against Washington State, he ran for a school-record 217 yards and 2 TDs on 11 carries. Griffin threw for 129 yards, 1 TD and had no interceptions. The Bears finished with 555 yards of total offense and scored 40 points in two consecutive games for the first time since 1994.  Griffin has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 548 yards with a 4-0 touchdown to interception ratio.

Connecticut last week crushed Virginia (45-10) as an 11-point home favorite. RB Don Brown paced rushed for 206 yards and 3 TDs; Tyler Lorenzen went 13-15 for 129 yards with 1 TD and no interceptions.

Since 2003, the Huskies have been solid as a double-digit favorite going 9-4 against the spread. Since 2002, the Huskies are 14-7-1 ATS as a home chaulk.  Baylor on the other hand is 3-11 against the spread as a double-digit underdog since 2006.
